Monthly Meeting of the Maury Count Republican Party

• 1.      Opening Prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
• 2.      Opening Statement – Jerry – Welcome and thanks for coming
• 3.      Minutes –Jerry - No corrections. Accepted as submitted.
• 4.      Treasures Report – Todd - $14,013.12 in bank. Most of this is Reagan Day Dinner money. See attached report.
• 5.      Announcements – Jerry- Congratulations to Julie Heffington on her appointment to Circuit Court Judge 22^nd District by Governor Bill Lee.
• MCRW – New Facebook launch, 3^rd Tuesday of the month have a luncheon, Need Volunteers for Reagan Day Dinner, Need silent auction items for Reagan Day Dinner.
• 6.      District Ice Breaker and Attendance Award – Jerry – Each table has a number on it, this is the districts, and we ask that you go to your district table. Meet your neighbors and elected a district captain. We are also giving out a trophy to the district with the most in attendance. The captain can take it home, share it in the district but must bring it back to the next meeting. The winning district each month will get to keep the trophy and get their district number listed on a plaque to keep track of the moth winners. 10 minutes for this exercise and will be doing a count. District captains please see Chris Wilson. Count after 10 minutes. District 1 – 4, District 2- 6, District 3 -2, District 4 – 7, District 5 – 6, District 6 – 10, District 7 – 5, District 8 – 4, District 9 – 22, District 10 – 3, District 11 – 2.  The WINNER is District 9! Congratulations!
• 7.      Reagan Day Dinner- Jerry - will be Saturday Oct 14,2023 at the 4H Center. Wesley Hunt, Representative from Texas will be the main speaker along with Andy Ogles. Must give head count to venue Sept 29^th, going to tell them 275 tickets will be sold. You can buy tickets and see sponsorship levels online. Also reach out to Todd or Brady to make payment.
• 8.      Platform Committee
• Will be made up of the elected EC members and 4 MCRP members. It will deal with issues in Maury County. If you would like to be on the committee, please see Chris Wilson to sign up after the meeting.
• 9.      Special Speaker – Dr. Michael Steele, Principal Columbia Central High School –
• -        On the same mission -Grandkids to see America and not be ashamed to fly the flag in the yard.
• -        When taking a stance there will be roadblocks
• -        Joined Marine Corps out of necessity.
• -        Served 10 years in law enforcement.
• -        Stands up for 1500 kids and 100 employees at Columbia Central
• -        Spirit and Character are intact at Columbia Central
• -        He is called the meanest, nicest principal they have ever had.
• -        Good things happening in public schools.
• -        Yes, they accept volunteers, just need to go through background check.

• 10.  Other – Vince Cuevas is here from Marshall County is here and is running for Trump Delegate.
•   Our very own Lona Heins is also running to be a Trump Delegate.
